A.G. Thomas commenced business in1952 conducting regular cattle sales at Maitland Sale Yards adjacent to the Maitland Hospital under the management of Alex Thomas.The business shifted to the present office at 66-68 Maitland Street, Branxton in December 1985.

Situated in the 'Heart of the Hunter Valley' , Branxton lies only 10 minutes from the famous Pokolbin Vineyards and 40 minutes to Newcastle, the regional centre of the Hunter Valley.
