Description: The Convent’ is an oasis away from the world yet so close to all amenities. The aim is for you to feel as though you are at home in your own grand residence, so comfortable and looked after that you wish your visit would never end.
The Convent’ is one of the very few guest houses with adequate insurance to cover self catering. You are most welcome to cater for your own group in the full commercial kitchen. Bar-B-Q’s are also provided for your use. The kitchen is complete with a crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment, glass wear, cups and saucers in fact more than you could ever want in a kitchen.
There are 4 buildings in the 5 acres of grounds.
The Dining Room and Kitchen building, which also houses the toilets and showers.
The Bunk House: The original school building it dates from the 1860’s and is used for accommodation
The Old School House; built in 1939 it is a most beautiful room for sit down dinners, parties or lectures and workshops. The floors are polished and with wide verandas adjoining the gardens it has an ambience unlike anywhere else. They have entertained 180 people in this room with ease.
